Awakening Bloom
Built around a dense, dark core, the composition expands outward through successive layers of colour and form. Earth tones anchor the centre, giving way to green geometries that suggest rooted structure, followed by petal-like shapes and luminous accents that introduce warmth and vitality.
Each band functions as a stage in a gradual progression from soil to root, from leaf to bloom, and outward toward water, sky, and sunlight. The circular format reinforces continuity, allowing the eye to move fluidly across the surface while returning naturally to the centre.
Rather than depicting nature literally, Awakening Bloom abstracts the idea of emergence. Growth is presented not as an explosion, but as measured expansion, structured, balanced, and sustained.
The symmetry provides stability, while the interplay of colour creates movement and contrast. The result is a composition that feels alive yet grounded, expansive yet centred.

“In Awakening Bloom, I explore growth as a layered unfolding anchored in origin. The composition moves outward through symbolic stages that reference soil, root, leaf, bloom, water, sky, and sunlight, suggesting that expansion is strongest when it remains connected to its source. The circular structure sustains continuity, framing development as a cyclical and sustained process rather than a singular moment.”
