Radial Current
Radial Current
Radial Current is a study of outward motion and fluid expansion.
The composition radiates from a calm central core, gradually unfolding into interwoven forms that appear to pulse and rotate as the eye moves across the surface. When observed steadily, the structure can create the impression of a slow, continuous rotation, reinforcing the sensation of water in motion.
The layered geometry produces a faint optical vibration, guiding the eye from the center toward the perimeter.
The interplay between the white structure and the blue ground enhances this effect. The white forms behave like carved channels or flowing streams, while the surrounding color suggests depth beneath the surface. The shadows reinforce dimensionality, blurring the line between flat composition and sculptural object.
The piece evokes the natural behavior of water: emergence, spread, dispersion. It is not static symmetry, but contained motion.
When observed over longer periods, the structure seems to breathe outward, creating a visual experience that feels both meditative and dynamic.
This print is sold unframed. Unmounted prints are delivered as a loose sheet. Mounted prints include an acid-free backing board and window mat, ready for framing.

Artist Statement
“I am drawn to structures that feel alive. In this work, the movement is not literal but perceptual. The eye completes the motion. The shadows are not decoration; they create depth and reinforce the idea of flow. What begins at the center expands outward, like water finding its path.”
